fog

there was a fog in the morning, that may have resembled god somewhere in my sleepwalk to the bus stop. drops of water hung motionless in the air, as if the world had stopped as the rain was falling from the early morning clouds. the red leaves of autumn created a carpet directing my morning journey with dreams of distinction, and the rest of the yellow-orange-reds clung with willpower to their branches like faces in a silent crowd, occasionally whispering in the breeze. looking down the empty streets, with echoes of muted murmurs over the light fall breeze, i sighed once in sadness for the summer's end, and sighed again with serenity for the seasons yet to come.

all

"I have it all," said she.
"Well, at least enough to make me smile every day."
And he was all she had ever asked for...
And more.

blues

thinking back on memories in hues of blues and burgundies:
some rise like morning sunshine,
and some linger with twilight abreast.
it is when i think of the hurricanes in which he stranded me last may
that the blues run in all shades,
eclipsing sunshine and pouring rain
running mascara down my cheeks from the azure of my eyes.
someday, i'd like to think,
those will be the memories that fade to gray
and fade away.
but not yet; not today.
today i remembered the raindrops
and my world turned into uncertainties,
and puddles of ice blue storms of memories collected in the front of my mind.

it's so easy to overlook the good and hold onto the bad. someday it'll fade completely away. someday.

all business
in black and white
with colors fading
to nothing pretty
